Galmpton, Churston

From : Galmpton & Churston Local History Group

Galmpton & Churston Local History Group organised a Heritage Celebration Week in association with South Devon the AONB 50th Anniversary from Saturday 19th – 26th June 2010. The busy programme included several guided walks and strolls, an exhibition, a supper and a history quiz.

The week gave lots of opportunities to visit memorable gems of local heritage. These included Barn Chapel Hall, Churston Church, Court and village, Galmpton common and war memorial, Galmpton creek, Collins Grave and the Lower Greenway farm buildings on the National Trust Greenway estate. There was even a short mystery walk.

If you were there we’d love to hear from you. If you weren’t there, here’s a downloadable PDF copy of the full programme to see what you missed.

The events were organised by John Risdon and the Galmpton & Churston Local History Group.
