Journey's End - listen in to local young people performing

From : Basement SHAC (South Hams Arts Collective)

The lads in their hundreds to Kingsbridge come in for the fayre

The lads for the girls, and the lads for the liquor, are there...

and there with the rest are the lads who will never be old...

and many the handsome of face, and the handsome of heart

Listen in to an edited recording of six young people from the 'Basement SHAC' theatre company as they read extracts from the 1928 drama by Sherriff, Journey's End.

This moving play set in the trenches of the First World War, follows a group of officers over four days in 1918.
