A journey with strangers

In and around Dartmouth

From : Felix Kary

The pieces of art are about me hitching from place to place and the people I meet. The area that I live in is beautiful but at the same time slightly isolated, so getting anywhere can be difficult. It's also about the people in the area.

For me hitching around has created a bank full of characters and stories that will stay with me through life. I have recorded some of those experiences. Each portrait is a memory of experiencing time with a stranger.

Each image has been recreated from my memory to form a suggestion towards this stranger instead of a definitive portrait. Overall they show a brief encounter into someone else's life and how one of these two strangers (on of them being me) perceives it.
